Rory “Rick” Reese was a senior TV journalist and seven-time Emmy winner. From 1982 on, he covered numerous breaking stories for ABC TV Network News: Katrina, 9/11, Desert Storm, and the Challenger explosion, along with presidential campaigns, political conventions and Winter Olympics. His assignments took him around the globe: Beirut, Kuwait, Sarajevo and Kosovo. He also routinely covered Capitol Hill and the White House.

Rick’s segments appeared on Good Morning America, Nightline, World News Tonight and 20/20. He won Columbia University’s coveted Alfred duPont Award for broadcasting. A University of Maryland graduate, he did advanced television study at M.I.T. He was a founder of public radio station WPFW in Washington.
